Cleaning out the closet...

Ok, so I'm cleaning out the closet in my office and I realize that I've been holding on to way to much gear that I don't use anymore.

So it's time to find a new home for all of this stuff!
First up, I have 2x SB600's in like new condition. $200 each. I'll even show you how to used them off camera. -------------SOLD
Next I have a set of 3 Nikon extension tubes, great for doing macro photography. $250 for all 3. These will work with any lens with a manual aperture ring and turn it into a macro lens.--------SOLD
Then I have an SB-28 Nikon flash. This is what I started using for off camera flash. I'll even include my home made PC extension cord so you can trigger it. $120 for flash and sync cord.--------SOLD
Nikor 70 to 300mm f/4- f5.6G Lens. This is the older version without a focus motor, so you need a camera with a built in motor to use autofocus, like the D90 or D7000. $100 for this mint condition zoom lens. ----------SOLD

Think tank shapeshifter Back pack. I've used this as my primary backpack for about a year and it's held up 100%. Paid over $270 for this and will let it go for $150 now.

Lowepro Slingshot 202 AW backpack. This was one of my prizes for winning 1rst place in the Outdoor Photography Spring photo contest, I've never used it, still has all the tags on it. $100 and it's yours.

Keep checking this post as I will be adding items to it as I dig them out of my closet.

Weekly Photo- November 27th

Last week I was gone to Mirrabelle Quebec to do an acceptance check on one of our helicopters. Got to spend most of the week flying from airport to airport across five provinces. The weather wasn't the best visibility wise but I did come back with one photo I'm very happy with. We popped up through the cloud cover for a little while and were lucky enough to witness this impressive trench like cloud formation.

Jacobs First Halloween

We were late ordering a costume for Jacob so we had to improvise today. Great job Amy Jo, that's a pretty fine looking Ewok if I say so myself.

The spear is my contribution..... just saying.

Weekly Photos- October 24th to 30th

As some of you may of noticed, I haven't been posting for a while. Life just got very busy and I had to let some things go. Now that I've taken some time off from shooting and got caught up on other things, I decided to start doing my Weekly photos again.

The daily photo proved to be too much for me at this point. On some days I would create something great but on other days I found myself lowering my standards just to say that I took a photo that day. I'd like my photography skills and standards to keep going up and not have to make compromises for my art because of time constraints.

Didn't get to go out for any landscape photography this week but I did set aside some time for some christmas stock photos. It's amazing what Molly will do for baby carrots!

Jacobs 6 month Photo Shoot

I can't believe he's 6 months already! Even tho I take photos of him everyday, every 3 months I try and take some more "professional" setup photos of him. Kinda like I hire myself to take my kids portraits, lol. So here are Jacobs 6 month portraits.

DIY Art Wall Panel Display

With my first art show of the year coming up fast on Saturday, I decided I wanted something to display my framed prints on. This is what I came up with.... still needs a few coats of paint but I think it will do just fine.

This weekend is Alberta Art days and there is lots of activity going on. On friday I will be at Beantrees in the gallery from 1830 until 2100 for the Cold Lake Visual Arts Society Faux Wine and Cheese and saturday I will be at the Bonnyville Agriplex for an art show from 1100 to 1900. If you are in Cold Lake on saturday, head down to the library for some medieval activities put on by the CLVAS, library and the Society of Creative Anachronism.

Should be a great weekend!
